Look where you are going

It is crazy for a pedestrian in Hanoi and I want to talk about how me and mom got almost run over this afternoon by a bicycle.  This guy was not looking a head and he did that forever until he finally saw us. I was traumatized after that.  We had no place to go to get out of the way as we had motor bikes on one side and a wall on the other.  Luckily it was not a motor bike but a bicycle, but it was still so scary.  Crazy drivers...this is my last straw with Vietnam since we got here that and the constant loud beeping and honing of all the horns from the motor cycles telling us to get out of the way.

Why we where there is because me and mom went for a pedicure and John and Dad went for a geocache
But it was not as fancy as that

ok well that is mostly it well goodbye

Vietnam

Hello, yesterday we arrived in Vietnam/ Hanoi / World of motorcycles. When we arrived we took a taxi to our hotel and I looked out the window and I saw tones of motorcycles and traffic. We arrived at the hotel and it was a nice hotel and we could smell the pool from Reception.

We are all settled in the room and the set up was cool and different meant for family 2 single beds on each side of a double bed
It looks exactly like that. We chilled for the rest of the day and played agar.io if you don't know what that is look it up and start playing and at this
After that we went for dinner at the best pho in our opinion but our opinion has changed now that we have had many different versions of pho..this was John's expression on the first evening in Hanoi!
And then it started pouring HARD and we got soaked running back to the hotel n the dark.

Until Next Time!!!!

Luigi make-a the Pizza!

Yesterday we took a large mini van from Vang Vieng to Vientiane the capital of Laos. Nether iAd was bumpy again and we crossed a few mountain ranges but nothing like the ride from Luang Prabang to Van Vien.  The trip took 2 hours which was not bad, I needed Gravol for the ride.

When we arrived in Vientiane we went straight to lunch at the backpackers hostel next door.  Dad ordered the hamburger and it looked so good that I got one as well.  They totally forgot John's order of spaghetti and he was crazy hungry.  He then decided against the spaghetti and got the chicken burger which was ready super fast.  Mom continues to eat only Laos food, good for her but we need some comfort food lately.

The next day we visited <<The Patouxay>> which is like a huge monument and they call it the Arc de Triomph just like the one in Paris because it looks like that one but more Asian.  The locals call it a concrete Monster or vertical runway as the money for it was supposed to go to building the airport.  It is a monument to remember the people who died in the war.

We went all the way to top and the really top part was accessed by this rickety spiral staircase.  John found a Geocache up there, the clue was to go high and that the Geocache was magnet.   After all of that we went for lunch at the best pizza place in the world, it is called Pizza de Robbievand it is three doors away from our hotel.

John ordered the special pizza and chose three meat toppings.  Mom and dad shared a Italian ham pizza and I got the Quattro Fromagio.  My pizza was the BEST ever!! The cheeses we think on mine were Blue cheese ,Mozzarella, Parmesan and possibly some kind of fancy we goat cheese, very fancy.

Mom and Dad's  pizza was good with the special Italian ham - prosciutto.  My leased favourite was John's pizza.  One of the meats that he chose was hot dog - blah!  Luckily we had enough pizza left over so we took it back to the hotel and out it in the fridge. Me ate it fir dinner and mom and dad went out to a nice restaurant by themselves.

Well then that is it for today goodbye

When we arrived we had to wait 5 minutes because a group before us was going.Anyways after we waited it was ready to get geared up the guid explained the safety rules and stuff.

We climbed all the way to the top which was really hard because of the rocks we finally arrived at the top at it was so high
John went first I was so scared but when I stepped off that platform it changed
I counted 12 platforms and the whole distance was 1kilometer it was awesome
After the whole experience we swam in the Blue Lagoon

Palace fun

Today we went to the Royal Palace Museum.  There was also a big golden Wat where they stored The Pha Bang! The Pha Bang is this golden statue of Buddha from the 1st century and said to have special powers. A long time ago the king of Siam gave it to the king of this area of Laos and also brought the Buddism religion.

I was surprised by a few things in ther royal palace, first thing was the king and queen had separate bedrooms.  Second was that the children's bedroom was next to the King's bedroom and not the queen's bedroom and also that the children's bedroom had been turned into a music room with all kinds of traditional Laotian instruments and no beds or toys. I would think the king would say to the kids to TURN THE MUSIQUE DOWN - weird right?

There was also a gift room displaying best and lame gifts from other countries to the King of Laos. Australia's gift was a boomerang and one of the gifts from U.S.A was like a Lego NASA thing and Canada gave a plate with flowers on it - lame right?

After the palace we went to a French café and mom and I ordered the Lemon mint Freeze.  It was bright green as it had fresh mint leaves in it and was tart but mom loved it.  I had to put extra sugar.  John had the chocolate chip milk shake and Dad got the pineapple freeze.  These freeze drinks are a great way to cool off in the heat!

Let's stop talking about this and go to this
Splatoon if you didn't read John's blog then you don't now Splatoon,
Splatoon is a third person shooter game you can play multiplayer.

The multiplayer is when you have like a map and you need to cover most of the map in your Color of paint it is a very simple game anybody can play it. When I say anybody I mean it because it is not violent game, no blood and no violence.

I left out an important part of the game as you can also turn into a squid
The second way of playing it is single player it is a story mode.

The funny thing about Splatoon is that they use cute names like Inkling.  Just right now I looked up for research on inkepedia funny right.

I left out a ton of research. just read John's blog for more information and you wil understand.

I want to show you the boy and girl inkling
Girl
Boy
You know what John said, he likes the girl better

Well instead of doing my thing I will do a new one

Where in LAOS/Luang prabang

For the past three days we have been enjoying Luang Prabang.  The day we arrived it was burning hot and when we arrived the hotel person said you half to stay in another hotel because we are all booked for this night.

We stayed in the other hotel and it was the worse.  First in our room our air conditioning did not work and our room had a hole in the ceiling but mom called it a sky light.  John and I had to sleep in the same bed - blah and it was a small bed.  But at least it was clean and we had to remove our shoes at the front door of the hotel.

We had lunch and I did a stupid decision.  Because I was a little tired of Thai Japanese and new Laos food I had a Hamburger the bread and everything was good but then the meat it was mystery meat it could have been chicken, fish, or even Django who knows.

Later that day we were so hot that we needed a pool we went to La Pistoche it was just a bar and a 2 pools the fun thing was we took a tuck tuck so we swam until six oh I almost forgot do you like scorpion water because they served that there.  It was in a bottle with white alcohol and they called it lai lai.

The next day we wanted to relax me and mom walked down town to walk around and John and dad went for a geocache.

Tuesday we had a tour to the cave waterfall and wisky village, cave.  First stop Whisky village now the reason why it's called wisky village is because they make whisky and weave bright fabrics.  Now mom and dad got to try some me of the whisky and John and I where really surprised because normally mom or dad ask us if we want to try but we always say NO but of course that's with wine.

Next stop we visited an elephant camp.  The reason why we are in elephant camp is because the other tourists booked to ride the elephants and we had to pick them up and take them to the waterfall.  We also ate lunch there.  We saw the elephants and then the guy asked if we wanted to feed them of course we said yes we fed them with bamboo shoots or sugar canes  but we also got to touch the elephants.  Mom spotted a pregnant elephant and you could see the baby move in her belly.  Did you know it takes two years for the elephant baby to be ready to come out?

The last stop was the waterfall Kuang Si.  The waterfall was beautiful and so refreshing but the waterfall was not the only thing to see there was beautifull black bears.  They were not the typical bears like in North America, their faces were way different and they were more skinny and had white patches on their chests.

Ottawa bear now Lao Black bear
See this guy has a six pack

The waterfalls were awesome we climbed to the second last waterfall.  Mom and I swam in the super cool water.  John claimed that he got mysteriously stung by a jelly fish in the more popular waterfall pool.

Last night we went to the night market.  Funny thing is that mom ordered a Toffee brownie and she was disappointed as it was not a toffee brownie but some kind of peanut thing. It was a crime, no toffee at all - a peanut brownie, peanut bread, peanuts inside the bread, peanut sauce, and peanuts on top.

She had a happy ending because she found coconut little mini pancakes which are her favourite and what she was looking for all along.

Ok well Cup jai la lai - that is thank you very much in Laotian.

Kitty,banana pancake,sailing,pedicure,and massage

Hi when we got to the air b&b in Samui there was a little pack of three cats the friendly one we called him Fergus 2.0 and the other cats I called them socks and moon.

Mom and John got cat food and I was really surprised I gave the cats some of the food but then when we got to the night market I figured out that the kitty food was actually for this baby kitten in the back of a truck he or she was so adorable but also sad because the kitten wanted out.

Anyways mom found a kitten glut right around the corner of our air b&b two parents and three adorable kittens so we fed them some of the cat food one kitten was really shy and one would not stop meowing but we caught the kitten in a half meow
Anyways when we were at the market John got a banana pancake but Nutella Banana it was so good so good that I got one somewhere else and they did it all fancy but it was not as good as John's.

So after all of that crazy stuff we went sailing for three nights and four days to Koh Phangnan and Koh Tao with our captain Kunta and his assistant Don it was fun but painful because in Koh Tao we were snorkelling and I cut myself on coral it hurt so much

other then that we went paddle boarding the whole time
Me dad and John on the Sail Boat
I took this picture good right
After the whole thing we went back to Koh Samui me and mom got a pedicure
And after our pedi we went for a massage with John this time mom got a foot massage I got a oil massage apparently and John got a full body massage then me and John played video games all nights well bye
