Where in LAOS/Luang prabang

For the past three days we have been enjoying Luang Prabang.  The day we arrived it was burning hot and when we arrived the hotel person said you half to stay in another hotel because we are all booked for this night.

We stayed in the other hotel and it was the worse.  First in our room our air conditioning did not work and our room had a hole in the ceiling but mom called it a sky light.  John and I had to sleep in the same bed - blah and it was a small bed.  But at least it was clean and we had to remove our shoes at the front door of the hotel.

We had lunch and I did a stupid decision.  Because I was a little tired of Thai Japanese and new Laos food I had a Hamburger the bread and everything was good but then the meat it was mystery meat it could have been chicken, fish, or even Django who knows.

Later that day we were so hot that we needed a pool we went to La Pistoche it was just a bar and a 2 pools the fun thing was we took a tuck tuck so we swam until six oh I almost forgot do you like scorpion water because they served that there.  It was in a bottle with white alcohol and they called it lai lai.

The next day we wanted to relax me and mom walked down town to walk around and John and dad went for a geocache.

Tuesday we had a tour to the cave waterfall and wisky village, cave.  First stop Whisky village now the reason why it's called wisky village is because they make whisky and weave bright fabrics.  Now mom and dad got to try some me of the whisky and John and I where really surprised because normally mom or dad ask us if we want to try but we always say NO but of course that's with wine.

Next stop we visited an elephant camp.  The reason why we are in elephant camp is because the other tourists booked to ride the elephants and we had to pick them up and take them to the waterfall.  We also ate lunch there.  We saw the elephants and then the guy asked if we wanted to feed them of course we said yes we fed them with bamboo shoots or sugar canes  but we also got to touch the elephants.  Mom spotted a pregnant elephant and you could see the baby move in her belly.  Did you know it takes two years for the elephant baby to be ready to come out?

The last stop was the waterfall Kuang Si.  The waterfall was beautiful and so refreshing but the waterfall was not the only thing to see there was beautifull black bears.  They were not the typical bears like in North America, their faces were way different and they were more skinny and had white patches on their chests.

Ottawa bear now Lao Black bear
See this guy has a six pack

The waterfalls were awesome we climbed to the second last waterfall.  Mom and I swam in the super cool water.  John claimed that he got mysteriously stung by a jelly fish in the more popular waterfall pool.

Last night we went to the night market.  Funny thing is that mom ordered a Toffee brownie and she was disappointed as it was not a toffee brownie but some kind of peanut thing. It was a crime, no toffee at all - a peanut brownie, peanut bread, peanuts inside the bread, peanut sauce, and peanuts on top.

She had a happy ending because she found coconut little mini pancakes which are her favourite and what she was looking for all along.

Ok well Cup jai la lai - that is thank you very much in Laotian.
